Automotive Business Microprism Arrays for Communication Lighting Product Detail
Utilising ultra-fine processing technology, we have developed a micro-prism array for communication lighting. With an LED light source, pictograms can be projected onto surfaces such as roads and walls. *Patent pending
Main Applications
As a lens for communication lighting, it can be used in a wide range of applications, such as safety warnings and illumination functions for automobiles and general lighting.
Product Features
01
Projecting pictograms onto road surfaces and walls enables visual communication.

Pictograms can be projected onto road surfaces and walls from a lens array composed of numerous fine, discontinuous prisms. This enables visual communication, and for example, in automobiles, it can be used as an accident prevention tool by conveying direction of travel and presence to pedestrians via pictograms.
A word from the person in charge
Microprism arrays are manufactured by applying ultra-fine processing technology for aspheric lenses for automotive headlamps.
When light is shone onto road surfaces and walls from an array of numerous prisms, each less than 1mm in size and seemingly arranged at random, pictograms are vividly projected. We are confident that this demonstrates sufficient performance as a safety warning function.

Production Engineering Department, Die Development Section
I.T
"40 years dedicated to die production." With a particular expertise in cutting with ultra-fine processing machines, as a master of cutting, I am a core member in the production of aspheric lenses. My motto is, "If you let me operate an ultra-fine processing machine, there's nothing I can't cut." The microprism array is packed with the essence of fine cutting technology.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q
Can any logo or text be produced?
A
It is for pictograms.
Not suitable for complex characters or patterns.
Q
Is it possible to project multiple pictograms?
A
While one micro-prism array can project only one pictogram, it is possible to project the same pictogram multiple times.
For example, if you want to project three types of pictograms, you will need to produce three types of micro-prism arrays, but it is possible to project the same pictogram multiple times.
