Environmental Policy

Nanbu Kasei Co., Ltd. cherishes the global environment and, in order to contribute to society, strongly recognises the promotion of environmental conservation activities as one of the company's priority issues and hereby establishes the following policy.

1. Comply with environmental laws and regulations, and other requirements to which our company agrees.
2. Recognising the importance of environmental conservation, we will evaluate the environmental aspects and their environmental impact of our business activities and promote the following:
   ① Energy saving and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions
   ② Resource conservation
   ③ Reduction of waste, aiming for zero emissions.
3. We will strive for continuous improvement by establishing and embedding an environmental management system and conducting environmental audits, while also working to prevent environmental pollution.
4. Set environmental goals and review them periodically.
5. The environmental policy will be documented, thoroughly communicated to all employees for action, and disclosed externally.

Information on environmental conservation will be disclosed as necessary.

Environmental Management Initiatives

Our various bases and group companies are continuously developing environmental activities after transitioning to the international environmental management system standard ISO 14001 (2015 edition), undergoing internal and external audits.

Promotion of Diversity & Inclusion (D&I)

The Nanbu Kasei Group's D&I aims to foster an organisational culture where "employees can freely express themselves and act without excessive consideration for others." For people to work vibrantly, it is necessary to recognise and respect differences, and to leverage each other's strengths.

Community Interaction & Contribution Activities

Excel Tokai Co., Ltd. produces planters from resin scraps generated during production and donates them to the local city of Gotemba.
PT. Standard Indonesia Industry (SII) in Indonesia participates in activities to donate food packages to the local village of Sukaresmi.

Compliance

Our company conducts compliance training for all employees annually, promoting a broad understanding not only of legal compliance but also of corporate ethics and social norms. As members of society, we act with a sense of ethics.

CSR Procurement Basic Policy

The Nankasei Group declares its procurement policy in its "Code of Conduct" as part of its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
In addition to this, we have established the "Nankasei Group CSR Procurement Guidelines" from the perspectives of legal compliance, fair trade, information security, environmental conservation, human rights, safety and health, and quality/safety.
