Please tell us your reasons for joining Nambu Kasei and your current job responsibilities.

I was looking for a job change with the desire to find work that suited me and that I could be interested in while working. Nanbu Kasei handles products for a diverse range of industries, and its scale suggested that I could engage in cross-departmental work. They were also accommodating regarding my preferences after joining the company, and the personality of my current supervisor, whom I interviewed with at the time, was pleasant, making me feel that the workplace atmosphere would be a good fit. These factors were the deciding factors for joining.

After joining, I was assigned to quality control in the automotive division, where I was responsible for product inspection and exchanging quality standards for new products with customers.
Currently, I am in the Quality Assurance Department for medical products, where I establish quality standards, manage production processes, conduct product testing, and analyse defects.

Have you encountered any difficulties or memorable episodes in your work so far?

A difficulty I faced was the relocation of a production site that we carried out previously.
It was a large-scale change involving factory design and equipment movement, which was unprecedented for me, but we were able to overcome it through the cooperation of the entire company.
A memorable episode is when customers seek my opinions and advice when they have problems with resins. This is not only due to the good relationships we have built over time, but it also made me feel that Nanbu Kasei is trusted as a resin moulding manufacturer.

Please tell us what you learned during your studies or previous employment that has been useful, and what you would like to challenge in the future.

I believe that my knowledge of statistics and IT, as well as my experience using measurement and analysis equipment, were immediately useful after joining the company. However, since this job requires a variety of expertise, I think anyone with at least one area of strength will definitely find a place to excel.
In the future, I would like to work on technical areas such as the development of new products and the launch of production, and I would also like to gain experience working at overseas bases.
