Please tell us your reasons for joining Nambu Kasei and your current job responsibilities.
I wanted to work within Shizuoka Prefecture, so I focused my job search on companies within the prefecture.
I majored in chemistry at university, so I primarily looked for companies with technical positions available.
A major factor in my decision to join Nambu Kasei was their focus on the medical field. I decided to join because I believed the medical device market's growth rate and a certain level of domestic and international demand could be expected.
After joining the company, I was assigned to the technical department in the medical field, which I had hoped for, and was responsible for investigating processing methods for new products.
I actually tested whether to process parts by laser cutting or using a Thomson die, and based on the cutting accuracy and speed, I proposed laser cutting to the customer. I was delighted when it was adopted.
Currently, I am in charge of launching new projects, and my main duties include die design, production line design, and managing mass production schedules.
Are you able to balance work and private life?
Shortly after joining the company, I was so focused on work that I tended to neglect my private life. However, recently, I have found ways to balance both by improving my work methods.
On days when I have more time, I refresh myself after work at a nearby swimming pool or hot spring.
On holidays, I help with my family's business and enjoy my hobby of driving.
Is there anything you would like to challenge in the future?
I am interested in the job of introducing automated machinery.
I want to deepen my understanding of production equipment and product management, and in the future, I aim to shorten production cycles and reduce manpower for the products I am responsible for by introducing automated machinery.
In my private life, I would like to try skydiving.
